Gigabeat on tour
Toshiba is taking the Gigabeat on tour to several commuter locations in cities like Boston, NY, and Chicago. The have also launched a promotional site were you can get 50 free songs from eMusic and 14 day trial to Vongo's movie subscription service.As with any "free" offers you have to signup for an account and enter credit card info. You can cancel at any time though and you will not be charge until the free trial is over. I have not tried this with Vongo since I already have an account with them, but I'm trying out eMusic and will let you guys know how it goes.

Why don't they promote how the Gigabeat's battery life really sucks and how Toshiba's tech support team is a bunch of clueless robots. On top of that they should make it clear that the S30/60 series will be soon left on the backburner and to be engulfed by the Zune.

my battery life is fine, i dont understand what the complaining is about. Comparing it to a player thats not even out yet is kind of useless too.

Here's a comparison thats not useless. The player that isn't out yet has more accesories available than the S series.

Gigabeat is great. I do not need accesories. It has all the connetors built right in. No more custom cable or power adapter. You can use a PSP wall of car charger even.

You say "The gigabeat makes a GOOD stand on its own", and I agree. However, accesories and support could make it GREAT. The Gigabeat is terribly flawed in those two areas. It does have the potential to be GREAT, but it is just good for now.
