Gigabeat U202 Black and Silver now available!
If you head over to Gigabeat.com you will be surprised to see that you are now redirected to ToshibaDirect.com. No sign of our old Gigabeat players. U202 Silver and Black are the only two players available. You can by either one directly from Toshiba for $99.
This is interesting indeed. I will do some more digging to see if there is any news regarding the S Series for example.

I think you have seen the last on gigabeat S series from Toshiba. They do have a couple of players similar to vision w that really look sharp. Who know if they will cross the water. Toshiba doesn't deserve any loyalty in USA. They deserted S series for Zune, then got kicked off that. Thing is S is better player by far than Zune except for screen size.

The Zune and the Gigabeat are in 2 completely different categories. Having owned both i prefer the Zune because the Gigabeat S was built like Sh** simply put. Breaking after 6 months is not my idea of a good player... hell my Gigabeat F lasted long and still runs. but the Zune has a good one piece construction, slightly better battery life, and WiFi transfers (which i personally love).
